MCC passed the CCCME evaluation for Iran Zarand Steel Making Complex Project

The Evaluation Meeting of Zarand Steel Making Complex Technical Proposal submitted by China Metallurgical Group Corporation (hereinafter referred to as MCC) was held in Room 1020 at MCC headquarters on 11th, June 2009. The attendees are as follow: members of China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Machinery & Electronic Products, China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation, three metallurgical experts from University of Science and Technology Beijing and China Iron & Steel Research Institute Group, members of MCC Overseas Limited and MCC Capital Engineering & Research Incorporation Limited.

The expert evaluated the technical proposal of this project according to the bid documents that Zarand Iranian Steel Co. will construct a Steel Making Complex in Zarand City, Kerman Province Iran with the capacity of 1.7 MTPY. This project mainly consists of raw material plant, sinter plant, blast furnace, steel making plant and continuous casting machines and other facilities. The completion period of this project is 36 months.

Through a whole day meeting, the experts’ team agrees unanimously that this technical proposal has reasonable layout, smooth transportation, a proven and advanced technology and this proposal also applies first class technical and experience in China, and has integral energy consumption, environment and security system, completely according to the condition of the Client. The technology used in this project is considered as the same advanced as any others in the world.
